The difficulty, we are told, lies in making the model "actually follow rules." One notes the adverb. The machine, it seems, is recalcitrant. It wishes to deploy markdown where plain conversational warmth was specified. It inserts bullet points into what should be the unstructured murmur of familial affection. The author has wrestled with this angel and emerged, if not transformed, then at least convinced that the wrestling constitutes a skill.
